No Kings March & We the People Community Gathering June 14th

When you elect clowns, they don’t become leaders. The country becomes a circus.

On June 14, Donald Trump will honor himself with a four-mile military parade in our nation’s capital. Trump’s tacky parade was inspired by dictators he idolizes, and will cost taxpayers nearly $100 million.

This is where the ridiculous meets the resistance—and where the future is on the line.

June 14 is our chance to reflect the absurdity of the MAGA regime and the clowns who lead it. To meet this moment, Women’s March is allying with the Greater Lafayette Indivisible No Kings event. It's Women's March's intention to host community circuses nationwide—bold, creative actions that mirror the chaos MAGA has sown across the country. Together, we’ll set a national record for the most circuses held in a single day while we simultaneously refuse to celebrate a petty clown who desperately wants to be seen as strong. We won’t stop until we build the country we all deserve.

Embrace humor and creativity! Think clown costumes or costumes of members of Trump’s cabinet or the oligarchy raising prices and bullying the masses based on our races, backgrounds, and genders, or a version of his shadow clown president Elon Musk attempting a hostile takeover of our government. Also, you can come to the Sign Making Party for No Kings and let your inner circus freak shine through in signs you make! Supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring your own. Be there on either or both June 7th 12:30 -4pm and 12th 5:30 - 7:30pm at the Creativity Lab at the West Lafayette Library.

Please join Greater Lafayette Indivisible, MADVoters and The Women's March for a No Kings March on June 14 from 10am-1pm. We will meet at the Sonya Margerum Fountain on the West Lafayette side of the pedestrian bridge at 10am and march across the bridge to the courthouse. We will march around the courthouse and then back to the pedestrian bridge and on to Tapawingo Park. We should arrive at Tapawingo Park at 11am for food, community building activities, action plans, and speakers. If marching isn’t for you, please feel welcome to join us from 11am-1pm at the park.

Note. A core principle behind all No Kings and Women's March events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.
