LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) — An empty storefront at the Tippecanoe Mall will soon be the home of Malibu Jack's Indoor Theme Park. According to a press release from the company, Malibu Jack’s is a massive Indoor Theme Park that features bowling lanes, go-karts, motion theater rides, a tropical-themed miniature golf course, laser tag, arcade, All-Star basketball shootout, and bumper cars. The indoor park will contain slides, tunnels, and climbing opportunities inside the “Bounce Beach” kid’s playground.
A spokesperson for Malibu Jack's says being in the Tippecanoe Mall will help both parties involved.
"We look at the benefit being of being in a mall is that we'll have additional foot traffic already through the mall that will help us in our business," said John Gullion General Manager of Malibu Jack's Indoor Theme Park. "But, that will in turn help the mall with all the foot traffic we're going to be having coming into our business will actually help support other businesses in the mall."
The Sear's store has been vacant since the company went out of business in 2018. This will be the fourth location and the first in Indiana.
